Practical information

Location of the conference 

It will be held in Saint-Denis and in Le Port:

- On Thursday, 16th November, at the Moufia campus of the University of Reunion Island (15 avenue René Cassin, 97744 Saint-Denis Cedex9). The event will take place in the Genevaux amphitheatre in the arts and social sciences faculty.

- On Friday, 17th November, at the campus of Reunion Island’s Fine Arts School, Le Port, Reunion Island (France).

- On Saturday, 18th November, at the Bibliothèque Départementale de La Réunion (BDR), Saint-Denis (97400, France).

The three days are free of charge for the participants and the audience.

Arriving in Saint-Denis from abroad or from Mainland France

We will do our best to come pick up our participants at the airport.  Please let us know about your expected arrival time.

Roland Garros airport is really near Saint-Denis city. You can reach the city centre by taxi. It will cost you about 20 euros. There are also buses, but they will take you to the bus station which is about 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre.

Central Hotel, Saint Denis

We have booked hotel rooms in the Central Hotel for our participants

This hotel is situated in the centre of the city. You will have easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, museums, clothing boutiques and to the trendy Carré cathédrale area

Saint-Denis and its University

Bus n° 7 will take you from the city centre to the University’s main campus in about 20 minutes. The nearest bus stop to the Central Hotel is situated on rue Felix Guyon.

On Friday, we've arranged for a minibus to drive our guests from the Central Hotel to the Fine Arts School in Le Port ( more info soon).
